Francis Vickerstaffe won the Men’s Scanlon Trophy on Sunday with an outstanding 67-16=51. Ken McIlroy was second with 71-16=55 and Joe Hill third with 74-18=56 on the last nine holes from Steve Strick (66-10=56).
Linda Gale won the Ladies’ Stableford on Saturday with 33 points. Jennifer Chambers was second with 32 on the last nine holes from Anna Harry who took third place on the last six holes from Sue Harvey.
Barbara Wilkins won the Ladies’ 9-hole Stableford on Wednesday with 21 points. Linda Gale was second with 20 on countback from Judy Harris. Di Lyons won the putting competition.

Rod Jones won the Men’s Phillips Trophy on Sunday, with prizes presented by David Phillips, with a fine 42 points. Nick Watters was second with 41, and Jon Cox third with 39 on countback from Alun Dixon, and Mike Jacka respectively. Paul Murrish won the longest drive and Colin Cratchley nearest the pin prizes.
Sue Harvey won the Ladies’ Leddra Cup on Saturday, with prizes presented by Simon Edwards, for the second year running with 36 points. Anna Harry was second with 31 on the last nine holes from Carole Jones and Ann Seabrook fourth with 29 on countback from Chris Tonkin, Anne Griffiths and Linda Gale respectively.
The weekend raised a total of £215.00 for the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

The Haulfryn Cup Open for Ladies and Men took place on Saturday with superb prizes generously given by the Haulfryn Group. In the Men’s section, William Giddings won the trophy with 73-17=56. Nick Watters was second with 73-16=57, Mike Hatch third with 70-12=58, Roy Hillyar fourth with 74-15=59 on the last nine holes from Colin Cratchley(79-20=59) and Nigel Waters(69-10=69) respectively. Scott Willett (Mullion) won the best Men’s Visitor, longest drive and nearest the pin competitions.
Linda Gale won the Ladies’ Trophy with 89-28=61. Ann Seabrook was second with 91-26=65, Caz Hardman third with 92-26=66, Sue Harvey fourth with 90-22=68 and Beverley Hicks fifth with 93-25=68 on the last six holes from Carole Jones (89-21=68). Tony Boyce won the Men’s Stanmar Trophy on Sunday with 78-18=60. Joe Hill was second with 78-17=61, Ra y Pearce third with 75-13=62 on the last nine holes from Steve Strick and Gareth Clemens who tied for fourth place carding 72-10=62 each.
The Vice-captain’s team won the team matchplay on Saturday by 5 matches to 1.

Mike Hatch was elected as the new club captain at the A.G.M. of the club on Wednesday. Francis Vickerstaffe will be his Vice-captain with Jim Blain, Colin Cratchley, Steve Dearlove, Judy Harris, Anna Harry, Simon Phillips, Simon Spencer and Matt Tregenza forming the new committee.
Tony Boyce was declared ‘Golfer of the Year’ and Ken McIlroy the ‘Most Improved Golfer’.
Nigel Waters won the Men’s Stableford on Sunday with 38 points on the last six holes from Tony Hosking.
Steve Dearlove was third with 37 and Tony Boyce fourth with 36.

Jackie Quick won the Ladies’ Carpyssick Rose Bowl on Saturday with 89-26=63. Linda Gale was second with 97-33=64 and Sue Harvey third with 89-24=65. In the Monthly Medal, played alongside the Rose Bowl, Jackie Quick won the Medal with 89-26=63. Linda Gale was second with 97-33=64 and Sue Harvey third with 89-24=65 and Carole Jones fourth with 91-24=67.
The weekend, with prizes generously donated by Anna Harry, raised a total of £300 for Shelterbox.
